The Riverview Park Fishing Boy Statue

The "Fishing Boy" statue has adorned the Riverview Park for more than one hundred years. However, during this period it has also weathered New England winters and acts of vandalism resulting in several missing parts. The Shelton Historical Society, in association with the City of Shelton, is in the process of restoring the statue back to its former glory. The statue is scheduled to be removed for restoration in early September 2004.

Donations to the Shelton Historical Society (a 501 (c) 3 organization) will be gratefully accepted for use in restoring the Riverview Fishing Boy statue. Please mark checks accordingly and mail to P. O. Box 2155, Shelton, CT 06484. Thank you for your help in this endeavor.
